So last night I headed out to the 5th installment of the Modesto Tweetup:  a gathering place for the local Twitter Community, and a place to meet faces from all sorts of different local industries, and chat about what's happening in our town.
Confession:  I do not Tweet. 
Appetéz does not Tweet. 
Yet. 
Turns out the Tweetup people do not discriminate, and although I got a little bit of razzing for my distinct lack of a Twitter account, everyone was fabulously nice and welcoming.  I got to hear from Cheryl Casey about the fantastic Triumph Fitness Program that works to empower cancer survivors, and from some local Commonwealth members, Joe Muratore and Sarah Fields and hear about how they are working to make Modesto a better place.  Thanks Modesto Tweetup, for a great event!  And look for Appetéz to join the Twitter community sometime soon.  I need more convincing.    Since you can't yet Tweet me with persuasive reasons for why we should upgrade our Twitter and Facebook accounts, you can send me an old-skool email-- This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
